This beautiful name of Allah has many meanings. One of them is the One Who finds. It doesn’t mean that Allah had lost something and then finds it. No. May Allah protect us from such belief. We can explain it in the light of the Holy Quraan that Allah found someone astray and guided him. Allah found someone calling Him for help and He helped him. Allah found someone poor and made him rich. Allah found someone in trouble and relieved him and so on. So Al-Waajid is the One Who finds you in difficulties and helps you. The proof of this meaning from the Holy Quraan is in surah Al-Duhaa (Ad-Duhaa) verses 6,7,8 (here is their English translation only):
6. Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge?
7. And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you?
8. And He found you poor, and made you rich (self-sufficient with self-contentment, etc.)?

Thus the words “wajadaka” and“yajidka” are related to “Al-Waajid.”
Again some scholars said that Al-Waajid is the One Who is Al-Ghanee (Rich, Independent).
In fact I understand the meanings that none can remain hidden from Allah and Allah is never unawair of His creatures. If an ant inside a stone is hungry and in need of food, Allah, the Sustainer will find it at once in its state of hunger and will provide it food!
Allah said in surah Al-Talaaq (At-Talaaq) verse 6, its English translation is:
6. Let them (divorced women) live (in iddat) where ye live according to your wealth, and harm them not so as to oppress them. And if they are with child, then spend for them till they bring forth their burden. Then, if they suckle (the child) for you, give them their due payment and consult together according to what is just and reasonable. but if ye make difficulties for one another, then let some other woman suckle (the child) for him (on the father’s behalf).

Here in the verse 6 of Surah At-Talaaq, the word ‘Wujdikum” (which means your wealth) is related to wajada. (The word Al-Waajid is derived from the same root word).
Allah is also Al-Waajid in the sense that Allah finds solution for each and all of your problems.
Also Al-Waajid means Al-Aleem, (The All-Knowing).
Imam Qartabee says that Al-Waajid means that Allah is present, He is existing and His existence is Absolute. So no denial in His existence is possible.
